Costume Design and Technology Specialization

Associate in Science Degree

The Costume Design and Technology Associate in Science degree program curriculum at Florida School of the Arts begins with an examination of the fundamental techniques of costume design through a series of historical and problem-oriented projects. Emphasis is placed on imagination and problem-solving in costume rendering and presentation of work. Students in the costume design program also have the unique opportunity to design and construct costumes for the many school productions throughout the year. Upon completion of the costume program, a student is prepared for employment as a costume/wardrobe professional or as a costume technician in a professional shop. Students may also choose to continue their education in costume design at the university level.
